About us
Create thriving and ethical societies that can prosper.
Our Story
South Africa’s entrepreneurship ecosystem is brimming with opportunities for growth and collaboration. There is a need for integrated information sharing and collective thought leadership. ‘Motse Collective Impact’ is a platform designed to unify efforts, share valuable insights, and track our collective progress towards shared milestones.
‘Motse’ – meaning ‘village’ in Setswana – is a word rich in symbolism, representing a philosophy that underscores the essence of the entrepreneurial journey. Motse signifies a collective ecosystem village of interconnected individuals and entities that come together to nurture, empower and champion entrepreneurship. Motse aspires to forge unity, foster connections, and ignite inspiration. It provides a space where diverse voices converge, knowledge flows freely, and collaboration becomes the catalyst for success.
In the heart of Motse lies the recognition that success is not a solitary endeavour, but a collective achievement. Imagine a village where mentors offer guidance, where investors believe in the vision, where fellow entrepreneurs provide unwavering support, and institutions including government agencies and business support organisations, provide fertile ground for ideas to flourish. This is the essence of Motse, where the entrepreneurial journey is made possible by the collective efforts of all stakeholders.
As we embrace the spirit of “Motse,” we understand that our journey is intertwined with the journeys of others. We acknowledge that our successes ripple through the ecosystem, creating opportunities, inspiring innovation, and catalising change. It’s a reminder that by supporting each other, we elevate not only ourselves but also the entire village.
